Now, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Semiconductor ALD Business Unit at Beneq.
This position is part of our Production and Quality Assurance Team in Olarinluoma, Espoo, where you will play a key role in ensuring the robustness and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Beneq's Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) technology is revolutionizing industries by enabling the creation of ultra-thin films, and your work will help ensure the quality and performance of our production systems.

Your (Extra)Ordinary Day as a Manufacturing Engineer:
In this role, you will be responsible for improving the robustness of our manufacturing process, ensuring the smooth operation of semiconductor production, and driving process optimization initiatives. Key tasks include:
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Work closely with design, quality, and production teams as part of the change management process, participating in design reviews to assess manufacturability, identify potential production challenges, and propose design improvements to ensure smooth product change transitions from prototype to production.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Support troubleshooting of production issues related to design, process, or materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all manufacturing processes.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of ALD production tools, swiftly addressing equipment issues to minimize disruptions.
What Will Help You Succeed:
Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science) or a related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Proven experience in design reviews and successful transition from design to production.
- Hands-on experience leading continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, and process optimization.
- Proficiency in quality analysis, root cause problem-solving, and manufacturing process optimization.
Other Skills/Qualifications/Information:
- Solid problem-solving abilities and a genuine, self-motivated interest in process optimization.
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, and assembly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness and ability to work in a cleanroom environment and travel occasionally.
