Join Beneq as a Test Automation Engineer - Semiconductor ALD Business Unit
Are you passionate about test automation and excited by cutting-edge technology? We’re looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our Semiconductor ALD Business Unit at Beneq.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining test automation solutions for our Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) equipment - technology used by leading semiconductor players worldwide. You’ll work hands-on with complex systems and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to continuously improve quality, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with hardware and software engineers to develop and maintain relevant test automation solutions that use hardware-in-the-loop systems to create holistic system-level quality gates for software development
Conduct integration testing to ensure seamless operation of system components
Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements and design test cases accordingly
Conduct performance and load testing to ensure the system meets performance criteria
Create and maintain technical documentation for the software systems and report QA results with clear, reproducible steps for identified issues
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and methodologies, and introduce new techniques where appropriate
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience & Technical Skills
4+ years of hands-on experience in test design and execution as part of larger software development projects
Strong critical thinking skills and a customer-oriented mindset
Proven experience with test automation frameworks and modern testing tools
Strong programming skills, preferably in C#, C, and/or C++
Knowledge of software architecture patterns such as MVVM, Microservices, and SOA
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MSSQL)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Soft Skills:
A structured, detail-oriented, and quality-driven way of working
Strong documentation and technical writing skills
Solid understanding of software quality assurance principles
Clear and effective communication skills in English
